ParaFRAP2026 Imaging WS

We are organizing an imaging workshop as part of the ParaFRAP labex. It will take place in Montpellier from August 26th  to September 4th  2026, and is aimed at PhD students and young post-docs from ParaFRAP teams who are particularly interested in imaging as part of their research.

The workshop is organized in two modules. The first module concerns expansion microscopy, will be run by Mila R Corralès (MiVEGEC) and Marta M Cova (LPHI) August 26-28.  The second module, on electron microscopy, from August 31st to September 4th, and will be led by Laurence BERRY (LPHI and EM4Bio). Both modules will include theoretical (seminars with external speakers in person and/or by videoconference, visits to imaging platforms (Super-Resoltion)) and practical sessions on sample preparation, acquisition and analysis. We'll be exploring as much diversity as possible, and are already planning to image Plasmodium falciparum, Toxoplasma gondii, Trypanosoma brucei and Leishmania sp.

For practical reasons, we would like to limit the number of participants to 16. We may have to make a selection, giving priority to PhD students, based on motivation and adequacy with the participant's research project. Participants are invited to take part in both modules, but there is also the option of taking part in just one.
